Mothers Day

Today was a beautiful day!  La Vie en Rose!

My youngest gave me these beauties . . .

My eldest wrote me a beautiful card and surprised me with this . . .

So cute and I got chocolates but by the time I went to photograph everything, we'd eaten them all!  Chocolates don't last very long around here - you've got to be quick!  I spent a very lazy afternoon with my boys, arranging my hall sideboard, taking some photos and enjoying the sunshine!

I'm always moving things around and enjoyed playing around with this sideboard.  The lamps were in the dining room but I moved them out here . . .

but then thought maybe they're a little too tall so then I put back the topiaries that are always there . . .

A permanent fixture on this hall cupboard is my Geisha . . .

I love her . . . she's a gift from my sister . . .

Isn't she sweet?  I also adore the colour of the mirror and sideboard - french grey . . .

So what do you think, lamps or topiaries?

Hope you are all having a wonderful Mother's Day!

Hi Sharon,
I love your mirror! I have been on the hunt for one almost exact to that. Was it a vintage find?
The color is perfect!

Hey Lisa, Thank you! Yeah, I love it too!! it looks vintage but its not. I used to own a french style furniture and accessories shop so I sourced it there, but I don't have the shop anymore - I'll have to do a post on that :) I liked it as it's the perfect shade of French Grey! The sideboard is part of the same range!
