My Dining Room
Today is the first day of Spring. Well, here in Ireland anyway! I think the official date of Spring is March 20th or 21st, but traditionally Saint Brigid's Day, the 1st of February, signals the start of Spring and the farming year for the Irish. Doesn't feel very Spring-like lately though so I thought I'd post a picture of some Angelique Tulips from my garden that dressed my table last Spring.
I love these tulips. . .
Happy first day of Spring!!

Love your dining room!! Thanks for spring flower photos and the info on Ireland's first day of spring. I should have known this :) What part of Ireland may I ask? You can email the answer if you don't wish to publish.
Happy Spring!
Cindy
Hey Cindy, I'm in the South of Ireland, County Cork! A beautiful part of the country, if I do say myself!
Happy Spring to you too!
Sharon
I have an Aunt and cousins who live in Cork!! I haven't been there since 2003 though, but I have kissed the Blarney stone!! Great memories of spending a summer there in my childhood! Beautiful!
No way!! Isn't that mad? Small world. The grounds at Blarney Castle are lovely aren't they? They have a lovely collection of Japanese maples now, it's quite stunning in the Autumn. You'll have to come back and see them!
